This is one of the latest product of Ex Gurkha Khukuri House. This is 10″ 3 Fuller Gurkha Angkhola Farmer Khukuri (also called “Kukri” or “Khukri” in the west). Angkhola is comprised of two separate Nepali words “Ang” and “Khola”. “Ang” means the back part of the human body whereas “Khola” means to open. So the blade part of this specially designed khukuri looks like the back part of the human body. Also, Angkhola is a popular village in the eastern region of Nepal. This very design comes from the same village.
The handle of the khukuris originating from this village is always a single piece that goes all the way through to the bottom of the blade. The main reason for this is to provide a proper grip on the handle while holding the khukuri. The handle is more practical, more beautiful. It is about 5-inch long made from rosewood & bone. The main reason to be single piece from the handle side is to grip the metal piece too while using.
The fullers on the blade help to work with the knife and makes it easy to strike with the knife and complete the work easily and comfortably. The blade is designed with three fullers to reduce weight without compromising its strength, integrity, and handling. This very deisgn is famous for the heavy duty working knife to cut harder things like wood, fire-wood etc. This is one of the best working khukuri.
